Our Flagship Program: the Explorers Club

The Explorers Club is a weekly (Thursday mornings) enrichment club for PK3 - 8th grade homeschooling students in the greater Biloxi area. Club meetings provide our explorers the opportunity for rigorous unit-based science study, high quality visual art creation, meaningful faith lessons, and socialization with their peers. Our aim is to illuminate the beauty, wonder, and goodness of God through our work.

SME has been blessed with expansive growth over the last two years. We've grown from only serving PK4-3rd graders in our first semester (Fall 2022) to serving PK3 to 5th graders plus a sibling extension program in this last year (Spring 2024) to currently having over 60 registered children in grades PK3-10th.

We are working on the creation of a dedicated art and faith program for high schoolers (ages 14-19). This new Commodore's Club program will run concurrently (same location and time) with the Explorers Club program. Read more...

Registration for 2025-26 will begin in May.

New for 2024, SME hosted a children's Shrimp Boat Building Workshop in preparation for the Blessing of the Fleet in July. Additionally, we have an exciting teen program debuting that will run concurrently with our Explorers Club program.
